PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
I grew up in a small town just to the northeast of Kalamazoo. I went to Grand Valley State University for my Bachelor and Masters degree in Physical Therapy. I later got my transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. I am a former Navy wife that traveled all over the USA and Japan with my family. I have 2 kids in high school and they are my world. I have worked in outpatient rehabs and acute care clinics.
My core values are: Jesus is Lord! Grit: that I can do hard things, honesty and compassion for others; be Kind, love one another as Jesus loves the church
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” Eleanor Roosevelt
I am a physical therapist at Vitality at Home. I specialize in pelvic health for everyone; meaning incontinence, constipation and pelvic pain. I also do vestibular physical therapy and balance training. I feel like patients have to deal with confusion on their diagnosis and what their next steps are. I want to make sure they are educated on what is going on, how it can be addressed and what questions they should be asking the doctor if I can’t answer them. I want them to feel confident in their rehabilitation and be able to take part in it so they can claim their highest self by the end.
I love treating orthopedic injuries/surgeries, pelvic floor, vestibular/BPPV, and general deconditioning.
I love being with my patients in their environment and helping them find ways to be successful. I also love that VAH is so supportive of me as a therapist and as a person. I am taken care of so I can take care of others.
