Physical Therapist Assistant
I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University for Allied Health Sciences with a minor in psychology. I then went on to earn my Associate’s Degree in physical therapist assisting in 2016. I started my physical therapy career in Washington state, but in the end of 2019 I moved back home to the great state of Michigan to continue my PT career here. I’ve been a yogi since the 6th grade and have taught yoga since 2012, I was also an avid athlete (basketball, volleyball, and track) in grade school and eventually got a personal training certificate in 2017 to bring that active lifestyle with me into adulthood. I use all of this with my patients to give them all the tools they need to succeed.
I’ve worked in various PT settings, including several outpatient orthopedic-focused clinics and pelvic floor specialties, hospital settings doing orthopedic post-op care and even skilled nursing facilities including sub-acute care and treating long-term residents. My latest experience was at a PACE program (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly), which really sparked my passion for helping the aging community. I also use my experience and training in both personal training and in yoga to inform my physical therapy practice as well.
Core Values: I am motivated by connecting with and helping others. I think there is immense value in truly listening to people, and simply by doing that and adjusting accordingly, we tend to get somewhere meaningful.
Kindness and compassion are key to living well and doing right by ourselves as well as those around us. Being mindful and present as much as possible is always a goal of mine and something I truly value… though in our fast-paced and tech-heavy world, this can be tricky to do!

I don’t specialize in anything and have had a variety of experience across the PT field. I like to dabble in a lot of things so I can pull from lots of different areas and find the perfect combination of tools for each person’s needs! Something patients have to deal with I want to fix is many patients don’t feel heard or seen in their medical care. They don’t get the time and attention they deserve, are told what to do and maybe told why based on very limited info, and inevitably don’t see the results they hoped for as a result.
The reason that I love Vitality at Home, is because we are given the capacity to really give patients our full attention and care, which leads to higher satisfaction both for patients and for me as a provider! I similarly like to treat a variety of conditions, which keeps me continually challenged and engaged in the work.
I already mentioned how much I love the 1-on-1 care I’m able to provide through Vitality at Home (which is increasingly rare in the PT world these days), but there’s plenty more I enjoy about working here! I find treating the aging population to be especially rewarding – because despite what many think, there is a lot of progress that can be made with this group of people – and they are capable of MUCH more than even they may realize. I am so grateful for the freedom to create my schedule with my patients and treat them the way I think will serve them best. I feel I have amazing work-life balance, which carries over into how present and supportive I can be for my patients. It’s a win-win, for sure.
When I’m not working, I love being home to snuggle and play with my three cats – our cats are our kids! My husband and I like to cook meals together, but I’d always rather go out for dinner (and a beer!) because: no meal-prep and no dishes! While I love to eat, we also prioritize fitness, doing workout classes together a few times a week. When the weather is nicer, we love to be outside and especially love walking or hiking. We make sure to spend time with family and friends as often as we can, both locally and across the country – including North Carolina, Arizona, Colorado, and even Hawaii! We like to travel a few times a year to visit folks we love or to just explore a new place together.
